SMART GRID LABORATORY at School of Electrical Engineering

The Power Systems Department at School of Electrical Engineering is making significant strides in setting up the SMART GRID LABORATORY, a key component of our ongoing efforts to enhance research and technology transfer in power systems.

As part of Work Package 2 of SUNRISE project, this initiative focuses on leveraging Real-Time Simulation and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) tools. These tools are essential for developing and testing advanced technologies aimed at the decarbonization of power systems.

The expertise and support from Manuel Barragan Villarejo and Francisco Jesus Dias of the University of Seville have been instrumental in the successful setup of this laboratory.
