From October 14th to 17th, 2024, the IEEE PES ISGT Europe 2024 conference took place at the Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Organized by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, this premier event brought together professionals and researchers in the field of power and energy systems.
As part of the conference program, the SUNRISE project presented a hands-on tutorial titled Control of HVDC/AC Electrical Grids: RTDS Hardware-in-the-Loop Approach. With over 30 enthusiastic participants, the session offered an in-depth exploration of real-world solutions for managing high-voltage DC/AC grids. Through live RTDS hardware-in-the-loop simulations, attendees gained practical insights and strategies, bridging the gap between theory and application in the rapidly evolving energy sector.
