Visit to Seville

Nevena Presic

In Spain, everyone knew only about Maria (Jose Maria, Maria School, Maria Luisa Park, La Casa de Maria, etc.) and now they also met Nevena.

Although at first glance the enhancement skills of the research and non-research staff of our two universities seemed to be incompatible, we realized that we fit perfectly like churros and chocolate.

Last week, the University of Sevilla and the University of Belgrade collided in a whirlwind of knowledge exchange at the Skill Enhancement Meeting. But this wasn’t your average meeting – oh no! It was more like a cross between a brainiac bonanza and a cultural carnival with more than 20K steps per day with the acompany of +1!

Picture this: non-research staff from both universities descend upon the orange couch, ready to soak up some serious brain fuel and get inspiration for innovation.

Do you know why the EU recommends orange interior, especially beds? The longer you use them, the more innovative you become. Of course, only when awake.

But instead of simple lectures and meeting rooms, we were greeted with flamenco dancers twirling their skirts and the aroma of sizzling tapas filling the air.

As the SUNRISE project took center stage, so did the spirit of collaboration and camaraderie. Discussions weren’t confined to boardrooms; they spilled out onto the streets, over paella and sangria. Thus, it was easier to talk about good and bad experiences in creating a support system for scientific research projects at the University and Faculty level.

By the end of it all, as the sun set over Sevilla, it wasn’t just skill enhancement they’d achieved; it was a whole lot of belly laughs, new friendships, and memories to last a lifetime. Here’s to the power of collaboration and the magic of Sevilla!”

Larga vida a la sangría and unforgetable Sevilla SUNRISE!
